e-Título is the official app of Brazil's Electoral Justice: it puts a digital version of your voter ID (título de eleitor) on your phone and bundles several electoral services in one place — justifying an absence from voting, checking your polling place, issuing certificates, and paying fines. It's free, available in the official stores (Google Play and App Store), and in an election year like 2026 it becomes the fastest way to handle almost everything without queuing at an electoral office.

What is e-Título?

e-Título is the app of the Brazilian Electoral Justice, maintained by the Superior Electoral Court (TSE). It is far more than a picture of your ID: it works as a platform of electoral services. Voters who completed biometric registration see the document with their photo in the app; those who didn't still get access to every service.

Any voter with a regular or suspended electoral registration can download and access the app, as long as they can confirm their identity during validation. One important point, stated by the TSE itself: being able to log into e-Título does not automatically clear you to vote — if your registration is suspended or has a restriction, the impediment still stands.

What can you do in the app besides the digital ID?

  • Where to vote: look up your electoral zone and section, with the polling place address.
  • Justify your vote: justify an absence from the polls on election day (from your phone) or after the election, in a simplified flow. See our step-by-step guide to justifying your vote in the app.
  • Certificates: issue electoral clearance certificates, criminal electoral records certificates, and party affiliation certificates, right on your phone.
  • Electoral fines: check and pay debts in the app, with integrated Pix payment.
  • Boletim na Mão: scan ballot-box result QR codes to check results.
  • Volunteer poll worker: sign up or cancel your mesário voluntário registration.
  • Document validation: QR code reading to validate electoral documents.

The app also includes accessibility features for people with visual impairments, low vision, or color blindness.

How to download e-Título on your phone

The download is free and should be done only from the official stores: Google Play Store (Android) or the App Store (iPhone). When searching, check that the listed name is "e-Título – Justiça Eleitoral Brasileira" — that's how you recognize the genuine TSE app and avoid lookalike copies.

Just open your phone's store, search for "e-Título", tap install, and wait. Keep automatic updates turned on: old versions can stop working near election day, when everyone tries to use the app at once. The official links for Android and iPhone, plus a warning about the risks of downloading APKs from unknown sites, are on our e-Título download page.

How to log into e-Título for the first time

  1. Fill in your data: full name, date of birth, CPF or voter ID number, and your parents' names.
  2. Confirm your identity: answer the security questions shown on screen.
  3. Create your password: set an access password to protect your account.

Crucial detail: your data must match exactly what the Electoral Justice has on file — including accents and married/maiden names. Any mismatch and the app won't validate your document. In some cases e-Título may also ask for facial recognition via the phone's camera. And you can't do your first voter registration in the app: it's for people who already have an electoral registration; new voters must register through the electoral office or the TSE's official channels.

How to justify your vote in e-Título

Justifying an absence is one of the app's most-searched features — especially in an election year. On voting day, anyone outside their electoral domicile can justify right from their phone, with the app using the device's location. After the election, you can also justify in the app through a simpler flow, within the legal deadline.

The process needs the same validated e-Título account, and once submitted the request is recorded in your history. See the complete guide to justifying your vote in e-Título for both scenarios explained step by step.

Where to vote: checking your zone and section

Inside the app, the polling-place lookup shows your electoral zone and section, with the full address of where you vote. It's the fastest way to confirm where to go on election day, no printed paper needed.

If you moved cities or neighborhoods, check in advance: transferring your electoral domicile must be done within the legal deadline, and e-Título reflects the new location after your registration is updated. Our guide to checking your zone, section, and address shows where to tap in the app and what to do if the address looks wrong.

Does e-Título count as ID on voting day?

Yes — if it shows your photo. The photo appears in the e-Título of voters who completed biometric registration (when their image and fingerprints were captured). In that case, poll workers accept the app as identification.

If your e-Título shows no photo, bring an official photo ID (RG, driver's license, passport, or work card, physical or digital) along with your voter ID. The old printed título remains valid too: present it with a photo ID. The digital voter ID guide explains in detail when the app replaces paper and when it doesn't.

Who can use e-Título? Requirements

  • Have an electoral registration (the app doesn't do first-time registration);
  • A phone with Android 7.0 or higher, or an iPhone with iOS 14.0 or higher;
  • Registration data up to date and identical to the Electoral Justice records;
  • An internet connection for the first login and data sync.

Keeping the app updated matters more than it seems: near elections the TSE usually releases new versions, and phones running old versions can freeze exactly on the day you need it most.

Can't log into e-Título? What to do

It's one of the most common searches — and it almost always has a fix. The usual culprits: mismatched data (name, birth date, or parents' names differing from the records), wrong security answers (the app asks you to wait before retrying), an outdated app, or an OS below the minimum requirement.

If your data doesn't match, the fix is updating your registration through the TSE's Autoatendimento Eleitoral or at your city's electoral office. If the app simply won't open or freezes, updating it and restarting your phone fixes most cases. Our troubleshooting guide for e-Título login problems lists each error and what to do about it.

Frequently asked questions

Is e-Título free? Yes — the download and every service in the app are free.

Do I need internet? For the first login and data updates, yes. After that, the document stays available in the app.

Can I vote with only e-Título? You can, if the app shows your photo. Without a photo, bring an official photo ID.

Does the app replace the paper título? For those with a photo in the app, effectively yes. But the old printed título remains valid — keep it.

Forgot my e-Título password? You can reset it in the app itself by re-validating your personal data.

Where do I get official answers? The TSE's e-Título FAQ page (tse.jus.br) covers the more specific cases, and your city's electoral office handles registration issues.
